Eligibility

  1. Teams shall consist of full time registered students (female) of the participating institute. A student’s eligibility shall commence on the date of her initial registration at the institute and she may only play for the college at which she is
  2. Students who are repeating their exams (either through full or part time attendance at their institute), shall be eligible to compete for a further twelve months provided they can furnish concrete proof (e.g. invoice for repeat fees) of their intention to re-sit the said examination within the twelve month period. Their eligibility must be sanctioned by the Executive before participating in any CCAO
  3. A student may play third level camogie for a maximum of 6 years. Players wishing to extend this period must submit an application to the
  4. Amalgamation of smaller institutes will be considered by the executive if an application is submitted to the CCAO prior to the beginning of the
  5. In the case where institutes have amalgamated but original clubs remain, separate panels should be clearly stated and sent in to the executive prior to the beginning of the
  6. Institutes participating in Division 2 and 3 of the league and participants in the Purcell Cup and the Fr Meachair Cup may play up to a maximum of 4 players from any other local institute provided that institute is not already affiliated to CCAO subject to the following:
  1. The players from non-CCAO affiliated institute must write to CCAO requesting permission to play with an affiliated institute
  2. The players must provide proof of their institute registration signed by their college registrar
  3. The players cannot be students at an institute that has been affiliated with CCAO within the previous two
  4. The institute wishing to play these students must forward a CC1 form to the Registrar of CCAO with the details of the players availing of this

 

If an institute should qualify for promotion while such players are part of their team, then these named players may continue to play for that team for the duration of their education at their specific institute
